Kassie Young,D.C.
"Chiropractic is not designed to make you instantly feel better,it is designed to make you instantly heal better."
Dr. Young began her chiropractic interests early in life experiencing first hand the benefits of chiropractic adjustments for relief of chronic headaches. After attending Eastern Illinois University, Dr. Young
enrolled at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. Upon graduating in 2012, she moved to Champaign, IL where she practiced as an associate doctor at Matzner Chiropractic for five years before purchasing the practice and renaming it Young Chiropractic and Acupuncture.

Dr. Young believes that the body has all the right tools as well as the ability to heal naturally, and she employs natural remedies to assist the healing that comes from chiropractic care. During treatment, patients may receive gentle traction techniques through the low back, manual adjusting through the mid back and neck, and muscle work.

Dr. Young is an advocate for holistic care. She believes all parts of the body work together, and if one part fails, it can greatly effect the entire body. Not only does Dr. Young treat your musculoskeletal system, but she is a strong believer in supplementation to fill in nutritional gaps and address deficiencies to help prevent the need for unnecessary medications.

CHIROPRACTIC
A Chiropractic adjustment is the use of a gentle, specific force in a precise direction that helps normalize spinal function. The adjustment is applied to a joint that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving properly. Adjustments help return the bones to a more normal position or motion, restoring body's natural healing.
X-RAY
Upon your new patient examination, some patients will have x-rays taken of the spine. These are a standard procedure, either as a defensive practice to rule out pathology (such as a possible tumor or fracture) and/or to aid in determining where to adjust the spine.
E-STIM & ULTRASOUND THERAPY
This is the action of muscle contraction using electric impulses and an ultrasound wand. It has been proven to decrease muscle tightness and inflammation around joints and nerves. Many people find relief of muscle spasms and pain after the treatment.
